Toasted Almonds ~ Mandorle Tostate

I love nuts.

I discovered the difference in taste after soaking and roasting nuts….the taste is amazing! And the benefits are as well, read here.

Soak a pound to a pound and a half of organic almonds at a time in spring water for approximately 12 hours, (overnight).

Drain and rinse the almonds once during the 12 hours –  the water gets disgustingly dirty!

After the 12 hours rinse the almonds thoroughly and dry them on a flour sack or kitchen towel.

Transfer the almonds on two rimmed baking sheets and put them in the oven at 180* F for 12 hours.


Ready to go in the oven!


Move the almonds around once or twice during cooking time, some tend to stick a little.

There is no need to use parchment paper or grease the pan.

Store in a glass container.
